Lavender is such a wonderful specimen for a garden for so many reasons. Phenomenal French Lavender will not disappoint at any level. It has an elegant growing pattern and displays a sweetly fragrant mound of silver foliage combined with purple-blue flower spikes. Along with its ornamental attributes, it’s edible.
It’s a cold-hardy plant and doesn’t die during the winter, which makes it especially appealing to gardeners. Don’t discount all the other reasons for adding it to your landscape. It’s disease resistant, it’s heat and drought-tolerant and it can take on all your sunny spots.
Speaking of lavender, go visit some of Virginia’s Lavender fields for some amazing photo opportunities and especially to experience the scent of an entire field of lavender.
